Light bulbs which imitates a flame

When the stove is going to be turned on I opened the little door to the right and pushed the left button. Then I pushed the next button which is for regulating the looks of fire.

Push once and it is supposed to have several options and when I see the desired option, I push the same button once more and it should stay. Then there are two more buttons to actually get the heat for the fireplace. The left one is for low and the right on is for high.

Everything works fine with the exception the lights don't work. I took off the front panel, unscrewed each of the two light bulbs and tested them -- they were both working properly.

So I reinserted them back into their assigned place, shut the front and pushed the button - 2nd from the left - so the lights would go on giving the impression there was an actual flame. I pushed the button which was supposed to give me options and I was to stop the held button.

I did exactly as the manual said, but the lights won't come on but the heater works just fine. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THE LIGHTS TO GO ON FOR THE ESTHETIC LOOK?

Hello, This unit is more than likely from 2008 or 2009. You can always try new bulbs to see if those work.

If not, you can take it to a local vacuum store to see if there is anything they can do to fix it. Thank you!

Resolved: Cord Placement

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Apr 01, 2022

Company knows about the cord issue.

Original review Apr 01, 2022

The placement of the cord plug is in an area where the stand screws into the base and the cord has to be bent in order to put the stand on. My issue is that later on the damage that my happen with that cord being bent and the system no longer working and it's past the 1-year warranty time frame.

Pros:
  • Great price
  • Lots of heat settings
  • Light weight
Cons:
  • Bent cord possible safety issue
  • Electric code placed in a bad place
  • Cord should not have to be bent to put stand on panel

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

User's recommendation: Make sure to call customer service and let this issue be known.

NO REVIEW

I cannot review this company until they send me the postage to send back the item I purchased. The item is being returned because the screw holes were covered with metal and I could not attach the feet.

Talked to a Heat Surge representative.

HeC is sending me a label so I can return this item without paying postage. As soon as I get the label I will return the item and when they received it they are going to send me a new item.

User's recommendation: Make sure the feet can be attached.

Heat Surge Quality Has Gone Down The Tube

We have been buying Heat Surge heaters since 2010. They used to be very good.

The old heaters still work.

We bought a Power Tower in 2021. Four months later it stopped working. We called Heat Surge and they gave us some tips to get it working again but two weeks later it stopped working. Now it simply does not blow any warm air.

We don't recommend buying any of their products.

The older models were dependable since you simply switched them on or turned them on. The newer models are all remote operated and are not meant to last. The remote and heater stopped working 4 months after the purchase. Their product quality is not what it use to be.

Also years ago, the company was more customer friendly.

You could call and speak with some immediately. Now you must leave a message for them to call you back. In addition to this, most companies today when you purchase from them and the product is faulty, they issue you the return shipping label. I have never seen where the cost for shipping for the faulty product is pushed on the customer.

That is not a reliable company.

My suspicion is that they have come to know this about their heaters and changed their policies to avoid financial losses from too many complaints and returns.

Heat Surge was once a great company but they are not anymore. I would not recommend buying their heaters.
